Job Description

Purpose of the job:

We are looking for an innovative CIP Practitioner to provide technical expertise, and to assist with the development and review of formulations for current and future products. The CIP Practitioner will assist the company to stay on the forefront of new developments and product innovations.

The CIP Practitioner will execute organizational Lean six sigma strategy by ensuring implementation of DMAIC methodology in identified projects in order to ensure innovation and continuous improvement. The CIP Practitioner need to support regional operational improvements via the Invocom master coaches and site champions structures through coaching and advice on relevant Premier way methodologies.

To be successful in this role, you should know how to translate findings into innovative products and understand how to translate business objectives into clear project goals. Top candidates will be team players, be passionate about process development and have a healthy dose of enthusiasm.

Master Coach Responsibilities

  • Supports the creation of a high performance and continuous improvement culture by coaching site master coaches and site managers on relevant Invocom methodology and best practices for their region.
  • To entrench the Premier way in Invocoms by providing guidance and advice towards level 5 Invocom standard.
  • To improve the Invocom effectiveness of ICU Invocoms by addressing gaps identified during assessments reviews through focused, short interval coaching, training and development.
  • Support Master coaches with coordination of regional coaching audit reviews and addressing regional trends with relevant stakeholders.
  • To identify and/or inform corrective and preventative actions by providing management with information/ reports regarding the Invocom effectiveness.
  • Attend and participate in the corporate Master Coaches Invocom to ensure alignment of best practises in the region’s Invocoms to entrench the use of the relevant methodology and present regional trends.

CI Responsibilities

  • Improve new non-certification project progress in the regions and support identified projects with coaching and training as directed by Regional Bakery manager.
  • Expedite barrier removal and risk mitigation with relevant stakeholders to support projects at programme level in the region.
  • Reporting on bottom line savings generated from identified CI projects against agreed targets in the site by verifying recording of project costs per phase with the relevant project champions and financial representatives.
  • Attend and participate in the black belt practitioner’s Invocom to ensure alignment to best practices and create alignment in the region’s Invocoms at site level through continuous coaching and guidance.
  • Communicate and share best practises at the Business unit reviews, corporate Master coach and Black belt practitioner’s forums to support corporate improvements and organizational learning.

Qualification Requirements

Education

  • Matric/ NQF level 4 equivalent qualification
  • Lean six sigma green belt certificate
  • Black belt lean six sigma practitioner

Experience Requirements

Job Experience:

  • 3-5 years FMCG experience within a factory environment
  • 1-2 years Invocom facilitation experience
  • 1-2 years LSS (DMAIC) project coaching experience
